Investing in SEO will increase your revenue

Lee Odden had a post on his blog pointing to an article in Business Week about Sew What? Inc. and how their SEO efforts helped to increase their revenue.  I really appreciate his point about SEO not being something you do once and walk away from. I know of a lot of customers that expect to pay to jump in search engine rankings, but then when they achieve page 1, they don't want to continue paying for a service or investing themselves to keep their rankings. Maintaining your search engine positioning really is an ongoing effort.

The article also made the point that the owner feels that she would not have achieved the same first page results if she had left it up to her SEO partner. The article really just proves the same point that if you invest in and work closely with your partners in the SEO space the payoff can be well worth the investment.
